David is a career banker of 32 years experience. He has undertaken a number of senior positions within HSBC covering areas from Branch and Retail to Corporate banking. Prior to moving to the Isle of Man David led the London Corporate business development team and managed the bank’s relationship with a number high profile and listed companies.

Mark Borzomato, Investment Director at SPARK Impact

Mark is an Investment Director at Spark, who he joined in 2016. Prior to this, Mark spent the majority of the past decade at Merseyside Special Investment Fund where he was responsible for the firm’s equity investments of upto £2m. An experienced corporate financier and investor, he has also held roles in global industry, regional private equity, and both global and regional professional practice over his career.

Fran is responsible for management of dealflow and liaison with entrepreneurs. She joined Syndicate Room to immerse herself in the unique challenge (and buzz!) that comes from working at a young, rapidly growing company, within an exciting and disruptive industry.

Simon Nicholas, Chairman of Bridge, the Isle of Man Angel Network

Simon is a partner specialising in financial services at KPMG in Isle of Man experienced in audit, corporate finance and transaction services – working with start-up entities in first round fund raise mode to £2.5bn market cap entering into cross border mergers. Simon is also the Chairman of Bridge, the newly formed not for profit Manx
organisation set up to promote entrepreneurship in the Isle of Man and encourage investment into local high growth companies supporting the Enterprise Development Scheme.
