Stuff of Life have developed the Liforma system. This is a combination of a support garment and two creams. The support garment is composed of a material band covered in small tacky lumps. The theory of its efficacy is based on the body’s Langer’s Lines. A stretch mark occurs when the components of the skin (collagen and elastin) are unnaturally stressed. Under these conditions the forces cause a partial tear in the skin which then runs in a line across the skin. The garment’s tacky lumps grip the skin equalising the pressure across the skin and are arranged such that no straight line can form between them.
